SERIOUS RESTRICTION

OK so I had my fill on Friday i think I'm up to fill number 5 and the doctor decided to put in 1 whole ml which is a fair bit for him to do. He usually only does .5mls but i had only lost 1.9kg in the month so he bumped it up!!. Today is Saturday and low and behold he is not answering his pager yet!!! The restriction is that bad i can not hold down water, I tsp of porridge made me wanna puke and felt like i ate a rock!! NOT GOOD!!

I will either wait till he calls or just stick it out until Monday! and just not eat or drink anything!! I will stick to icy poles for a few days I guess! Its the worst feeling and I can really understand what restriction now is after not really getting it.Be careful what you wish for!!

I have gone from being able to eat everything to not being able to drink or eat anything with just 1ml!!!

I will keep you posted.

This weekend is going to suck!!
Good news though I'm now 100.5kg!! (well no surprise there)!!LOL need food!!)

Hello there, I don't know whether or not this will help you, but I thought i was too restricted last week after my fill, only to find out that i was suffering from first bite syndrome. FBS. Have you heard of this?

I was feeling like all my food was getting stuck and I had to either vomit, or wait hours for the pain to pass. I felt like food sat there with my esoephagus spasming for ages. The pain! I was in A LOT of pain.

Because i couldn't get into see the surgeon straight away, i had to try to deal with it, and I vaguely remembered reading about FBS somewhere, so I tried it. OMG...instant releif.

What you need to do to test if this is the problem, is take a pea size bite, and chew chew chew until it is paste and you have produced plenty of saliva to swallow it with.

While i was seeing if this in fact was the problem, I did about three bites like this. It worked!!

This relaxes the eseophagus and prepares it for food. Give it a go, I hope it helps you,

Tracey
